Join Joseph at Holistic Haven for a fun, hands-on Beginner Clay & Technique Class designed especially for young artists!
Kids will learn the basics of working with clay while creating their own mini hand-building pottery piece. They’ll explore shaping, building, and simple clay techniques while enjoying the freedom to make their creation uniquely their own.
Polymer clay is colorful, easy to work with, and a wonderful introduction to pottery for children. It encourages creativity, fine motor skills, problem-solving, and confidence while giving children a chance to work with their hands in a relaxed and supportive setting.
Each child will take home their clay creation to bake according to the provided instructions, or it may be baked after class depending on the project and class setup.
Class Includes:
• Guided beginner polymer clay pottery instruction
• Colored polymer clay and use of sculpting tools
• Instruction in slab building, coil building, and pinch pot techniques
• Help creating a small pot, bowl, container, or decorative vessel
• Simple baking instructions for taking projects home
• A fun and encouraging creative experience
And kids can take our classes over and over! Each class features a new design or project, giving young artists the opportunity to practice techniques, build confidence, and create something different every time.
